The 20-Hectare ecological Vineyard
The 20-Hectare ecological Can Gelat Estate is situated near the picturesque villages Selva and Moscari on just a 30-minute drive from Palma and the airport.
When driving through the rugged terroir of the Mallorcan island you will find the estate as an oasis of privacy. Here, we grow our vines and produce wines with passion and respect.
Our vineyard produces well ballanced terroir wines, rich olive oil, almonds and our homemade marmalade. The estate stretches out to the foot of the Tramuntana mountains with sweeping views of the island and the sea in the distance.
Due to these mountains and the Mediterranean climate our grapevines are naturally cooled by the fresh mountain breeze and the calcareous rich clay soil provides nurturing for our grapes.
As part of the Vi de la Terra Mallorca qualification, the grapes are cultivated without the use of synthetic pesticides or herbicides as we seek to preserve soil fertility and vineyard biodiversity.
Producing organic grapes on the steep slopes of Can Gelat involves a lot of hard work and dedication, but we are rewarded by the high quality of our healthy fruit and the longterm sustainability of our vineyards.
This prototype of a real Terroir-wine makes the trip worthwhile to visit the Can Gelat Estate or at least taste the pureness in your glass. Salut!
Want to know more about our villas
You are welcome to stay at our two luxury villas on the estate. We will make your visit memorable and exclusive with our personal service.
The villas are fully furnished with design furniture and art. You will sleep in the luscious beds of our five two-persons bedrooms (each villa) and enjoy your meals on one of the terraces overlooking the vineyard. Both villas have a private pool and we will cater to all your needs.
